Columbia Machine founded by Henry Nichols in 1955 in Oakland California as a Machine job shop.

1962 Columbia Machine received our first of many contracts with the United States Government. This contract was for a conventional style coin press. Then in 1964 we were awarded the contract for the new designed coin press. This coin press was designed by Henry Nichols.

1974 Columbia Machine designed a new single bowl rimmer for use in private mints.

1988 Columbia Machine designed and sold a dual feeder rimmer with air tracks to the U.S. Government for making proof blanks.

1991 Columbia Machine designed the 6550 HS VS rimming machine. This machine is known to be the fastest in the world. The Philadelphia and Denver US. Mints are proud owners.

1995 Columbia Machine designed a dial feed coin press capable of minting 50mm coins.

1997 Columbia Machine designed a token and coin destruction machine capable of destroying 60,000 coins per hour.

2001 Designed a Single bowl Rimmer 4550 capable of rimming up to 6500 blanks per minute.

2012 Designed and sold Dual Bowl Production rimmer Model 7500. capable of up to 13000 per minute.

2020 Columbia Machine relocated from Oakland, California to Turlock, California after more than 60 years.
